Diversity is often said to be a key factor in innovation and creativity. On the other hand, communication is a fundamental prerequisite for developing and evolving.

In wake of the current migrant crisis, thousands of people are leaving their home, not able to speak the language and thus not able to communicate with locals, often leading to isolation followed by polarization.

Looking into the future, trying to solve these problems, is diversity in language a beneficial factor for innovating language and communication, which is at the heart of overall improvement of quality of life, or does it need to be integrated and united to form one language for all of humanity, leading to better communication and thus improvement of quality of life?
